Christ through training others sending or wishing to send cross-cultural missionaries, by providing training, resources, skillsets and mentoring.
not only training for overseas mission work, but also training for churches to reach the thousands of refugees and immigrants coming to American shores in this generation.
We are experientially and academically deep:
How may we serve you?
CrossNet
conducts most of its training live and online, using scores of resource tools it can send via electronic transmission.
CrossNet
staff members raise their own salaries and expenses, so we’re able to offer most of our online training and resources at no cost – pro bono.
CrossNet
is not a sending organization. We exist to provide all we offer to help churches, mission organizations and Christian Universities equip and send cross-cultural missionaries.
CrossNet Global
uses Joshua Project data to identify areas most needing missionaries. We will assist people going anywhere in cross-cultural missions, but prefer helping candidates think through the possibility of reaching Unreached People Groups as defined by www.joshuaproject.net. Some of our Team have served in restricted areas, and we have contacts in many others.
Not all short-term team members...
Everyone involved in missions these days...
before returning to the Father, was to “Go and make disciples of all nations….” Most Christians have the belief but feel they lack the capacity to obey this command. Even many churches and mission organizations have good intentions but lack basic essentials in preparing and supporting field candidates.
Some mission organizations often don’t have the professional staffing they need to accomplish many essential tasks of preparation and ongoing care for their missionaries.
Some churches which send (or wish to send) missionaries are sometimes in the same boat, lacking professional staff, training and caring resources for their field staff.
Christian Universities, Colleges, Bible schools or other training organizations with mission training programs may have good staff and training capabilities, but unless they have several mission departmental faculty, it’s unlikely they have the depth and breadth of knowledge, tools and experience CrossNet offers. Furthermore, universities don’t provide ongoing member care training and support.
Connectivity with other like-minded organizations is often lacking, and even when provided by denominations, it is sometimes actually limited by denominational boundaries, leadership, traditions, theology, or staffing policies.
While there are one or two other Stateside organizations offering similar training CrossNet is unique because:
a. We provide a depth of academic training, practical knowledge, field training and skillsets born of decades of experience
b. We are committed to working with all sizes of churches and sending organizations
c. We are attached to a credible academic institution for training
d. We work cross-denominationally
e. And we operate online, therefore are free of charge
